This was a return visit after 20 years !  Where do the years go? To a capacity audience at Neston Civic Hall a morning of inspirational and amusing stories of the last 20 years of Jekka’s life – from derelict house and having to relocate her herb farm - to the present day.  She has just been made Vice President of the Royal Horticultural Society ! As well as creating gardens for Chelsea, Jekka has designed many sensory gardens for several hospices and worked with the homeless in the middle of London making a ‘haven garden’ for them. At the Question and Answer session after her talk Jekka answered many varied questions from how to get rid of garden pests to Brexit ! Her closing words were “ The plants don’t need us – we need the plants. ”                                                           Neston Flower Society is celebrating 60 years and this has been a real highlight of the year.
